Recognition
We know you're proud of the work your organization is doing to improve our community. At Building Sustainable Connections, we want to recognize you for actions! We do this in two ways:
1 - Green Business Directory
Our Green Business Directory is an easy-to-access directory of all locally certified organizations who have achieved certification. This directory enables potential stakeholders and customers to readily identify local businesses that are committed to planet-forward and environmentally conscious practices.
2 - Recognition and Awards
We want to give your organization a way to differentiate itself from competitors as an organization committed to sustainability. This means that your organization may use the Green Standard Certified logo representing your award level on all print and electronic materials for the duration of certification. This includes your business website, email signature, business cards, and other items used to convey Green credentials.
Certification Period
All Green Standard Certified businesses are listed in our Green Business Directory for a period of three years. BSC wants to highlight the important work that your organization is doing to our community and will also feature your organization on our social media platforms and in our newsletter.
During your certification period, we encourage your business to keep in contact with Building Sustainable Connections and to annually communicate any changes to your Green Business journey.
If during this three-year period your business wants to re-certify at a higher recognition level (ex: a Bronze-Level Certified organization qualifies at the Silver-Level) before the end of their 3-year certification period, we would be excited to help you celebrate this achievement by applying the certification fee from your initial Certification toward your upgraded certification fee and extending your certification by one year.
