Kasey Abbott, P.E., is President of Direct Digital Control Inc., specializing in automating commercial buildings. He has engineered building automation systems for customers in eleven states. As a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) for over 30 years, he has served the SD Chapter as President, Government Affairs Chair, Student Activities Chair, Newsletter Editor, and CRC Chair. He had also served as the Regional Vice-Chair for Student Activities. Kasey is passionate about the need to address climate change to protect future generations and has assisted the SierraClub and Citizens Climate Lobby in these efforts. He is currently serving on the committee developing Sioux Fall’s Sustainability and Climate Action plan. Other activities include serving as President and Tour Director of RASDak, the annual bicycle ride across SD; and co-organizer for the SD Bicycle Summit.
